Volunteer Registrations now being accepted

It is because of the dedication of volunteers that the South Florida Dragon Boat Festival will be
celebrating its 8th year as Miami's premier family event! Your time and energy have allowed the
event not only to continue but also to succeed far beyond our expectations. And your help is needed
again this year!

All volunteers will receive an event shirt, meal and beverages.  Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of an amazing event!

The 2012 South Florida Dragon Boat Festival needs more than (120) volunteers to produce the one-day event. Please sign up for as many shifts as possible. We promise you will have a great time!

Once you have submitted your volunteer registration, a SFDBF representative will contact you regarding your status, assignment and scheduling. By submitting this registration, you are indicating that you have read and agree to the 2007 Volunteer Program Information (as shown below).

We depend on your commitment to participate. Your presence and prompt arrival for your scheduled
shifts are absolutely necessary. VERY IMPORTANT: If your schedule must change, or if you have an emergency, please contact volunteer coordinator.

You must check in at the Volunteer Check-In Headquarters at the
beginning of each shift you work. Please try to arrive 20-30
minutes early.

Every volunteer receives the Official SFDBF T-shirt with a minimum of one four-hour shift. This shirt
must be worn while you are working at the SFDBF. Please do not make any alterations to your
T-shirt while you are volunteering for the SFDBF.

All volunteers, new and returning, are requested to read the Volunteer Handbook that will be sent
during the week prior to the SFDBF. This Handbook will provide you with all the necessary details and logistics of the SFDBF. Things change every year and it is vital that you know the new information.

Meals and beverage

Each volunteer will be offered pre-package meal after completing one four-hour shift.  Beverages are available at Volunteer Check-In Headquarters.

Volunteer Certificates

For services at SFDBF, each volunteer will receive a Certificate of Appreciation, and all high school volunteers will receive a letter of volunteer hours.

For more information
